Long before the film Star Wars was made an artist by the name of Ralph McQuarrie was hired to do pre-production art and design much of the look of the Star Wars Universe.   Many of the characters have a much different look then the one that eventually ended up on screen.   For example one character served as the Han and Obi-Wan characters and in early versions of the script Luke was a girl.

This was my first major attempt to work in 6" scale, back in 99,  I figured that Hasbro would eventually make figures based on McQuarrie's drawings in their usual 3 3/4" scale...which they since have done.
